Cultivate Respect for Creative Universal Energy
In a spiritual context, the notion of abundance or plenty is less about material conditions, revolving instead (once basic needs are met) around an appreciation of life in its fullness, joy, and strength of mind, body, and soul. This is the cultivation of respect for the creative energy of the universe. From a Christian viewpoint, the term abundant life comes from the verse, “I come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly”.
When using abundance as a meditative focal point, you may focus on a specific kind of abundance such as a more connected community life, career, health, relationships, joy, happiness, love, or any other positive emotion.
As opposed to scarcity, where an individual sees life as a “pie” so that if a person takes a large piece, that leaves less for everyone. Scarcity thinking keeps many people from achieving their goals. An abundance mindset refers to the concept that there is plenty in the universe for everyone. Abundance operates from the premise that the more you give the more you receive. This is without expecting something in return, but the law of nature naturally operates this way. Love creates more love. The same with happiness, money, knowledge, health, and on and on…..
An abundance ceremony is often done during the new moon and or spring, although it can be done anytime. Thoughts are powerful, they create our reality. If we focus on scarcity and negativity, that’s what is revealed to us. We attract negativity to us. If we approach life from an abundance attitude, we attract beauty and positivity.
From a Shamanic perspective, ceremony transports us to a reality where we assemble and create our own reality. One of my teachers, Jose Luis Herrera teaches a class on assembling your reality. We drop into our heart, soul, and belly and drop out of our mind. This is a good thing! Everyday busy life disassociates us from our true selves. It distracts us from messages, signs, and signals. The “breadcrumbs” lead us to our true destiny, not to fate.
When performing the ceremony, find a quiet place where you will not be interrupted. Enter a sacred state of mind. This could be by meditating, prayer, breathing exercises, sacred music, burning of incense, intention, just about anything you choose which works for you. Many times, the above techniques are combined.
Once you are in a sacred state, you may light a candle, offer a prayer of intent, invite your spirit helpers, which could be Archangels, guardian angels, ancestors, an element, power animal, or more. Ask them to help you. Another version is to call in the directions, helpers, archetypes of the directions and guides and open your Wira Cocha, often referred to as your 8th chakra. I cover these last two topics with a how-to explanation in two other videos. Bear Path Healing on YouTube. Remember to subscribe on YouTube. You can find direction using any of these methods.
Now that you are in a sacred state with sacred allies, take 3 unhurried breaths and visualize abundance coming to you, revealing its presence.
Next, identify something that fills you with love. An emotional feeling of love, peace, happiness.
Draw this feeling into your belly, really feeling it.
Again, think of more that fills you with love. Feel this settling in your belly. A feeling of satisfaction, endless love.
Next, feel the love coming up from the earth, Pachamama, and entering your feet, legs, torso and settling with what you stored in your belly. Now, coming down from Pachatata, the creator, the created, creation itself, love enters your crown, then down your spine, meeting in your belly with Pachamama and your stored abundant love in your belly.
Really feel the abundance. The joy, satisfaction, happiness.
Now, visualize 1/2 of what you stored leaving your body and returning to the universe. Sacred reciprocity, Ayni in South America. You are sharing your abundance with creation. In turn, creation nows offers you a vision. A vision of your desire, a vision for you to manifest.
With the other 1/2, again offer that to creation, the universe. The universe, in turn, fills you with wonder. The wonder of endless possibilities in store for you.
Bask in the glory of a wonderful vision. Your vision. Remember joy, freedom, unconditional love. See yourself in nature. Soak in all it has to offer. Offer nature your gifts. Not sure what to offer? Ask! Listen. Look for signs. Use your senses. What do you see? What can you offer? A simple prayer? Tending to the area? Breathe in the scents. Listen. Feel the ground. Get on the ground if it calls you. Belly to the ground, connecting to nature. Use your intuitive senses.
When you are ready, thank mother earth, father sky, the creator, the universe, nature and all that it has to offer. Thank your angels, spirit guides.
Give thanks for the person you are. Thank the creator, the universe for making you the person who you are.
End with a simple prayer or intention. Ground yourself. If need, take a sip of water, a bite of food. Take a little walk. Discharge any extra energy back to its source.
Now, we release the directions, guides, helpers, spirits, angels, etc.
Close your Wira Cocha (sacred source) or leave it open if you desire.
Enjoy your newly created reality! Keep it with you. Revisit this ceremony and the feelings of it. Be on the lookout for miracles for flowing abundance coming your way.
